IPM CROPS

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a pest control policy wherein the main aim is to reduce and control the usage of pesticides while successfully preventing the pests from destroying the crops. It follows three phases for its successful implementation viz. surveillance, intervention and prevention. Synthite offers the following crops under IPM – chilli, cumin, fennel, mustard, vanilla and cardamom.

Contract growing of Pesticide Controlled Raw Materials

Synthite promotes cultivation of raw material in specified areas as per customer requirements. The company provides technical guidance to farmers and directs them on the usage of approved pesticides and fertilisers. Synthite’s personnel make regular visits to farms for onsite inspection of the growth of plants. Activity reports which contain information on name of farmer, variety, farmer code, pesticide and fertilizer usage etc. are used for the monitoring. They also monitor the harvest and post harvest handling operations. The company follows European Union norms on maximum residue limit for accepting or rejecting the produce.
